Yoga Classes and Courses
Sequenced vinyasa krama yoga for health and wellbeing influenced by Sivananda, Ashtanga, Iyengar and Hatha Yoga.
Classes start with pranayama (breathing exercises) and surya namaskar (sun salutations), which are cardio-vascular, warm up the muscles and joints and connect the body, breath and mind. Flowing sequences of asana (poses) follow, focusing on strength and flexibility. The mind is calmed throughout the practice. Classes end with yoga nidra, deep relaxation which is both calming and rejuvenating.
Courses for beginners focus on the fundamentals of yoga, for example learning how to establish correct breathing. Surya namaskar and asana are broken down so that good technique is established alongside learning more detailed information about the benefits of yoga and introductory yoga philosophy.
